A matched pair of Chinese cast iron stirrups from the 18th century, standing 17.5 cm tall and 12.5 cm wide with a combined weight of 0.76 kg. Each stirrup features an arched bow with a rectangular strap slot at the crown and a flat oval foot plate with a keyhole-shaped central opening for leather attachment. Incised circular and scroll motifs decorate the upper arch on either side of the strap slot, visible beneath layers of age. The surfaces carry heavy mineral patina in cream and tan tones over dark oxidized iron, with scattered rust pitting consistent with centuries of age. Both stirrups remain structurally intact with no cracks or breaks.
