A cast bronze opium weight from Burma (Myanmar) in the form of a stylized rooster standing atop a dome-shaped base. The bird features a prominent comb, raised tail feathers, and incised claw marks on the base. The surface displays a rich dark brown patina with areas of green verdigris, consistent with age and handling. Standing 5.3 cm tall and weighing 135 g, this weight is a solid, well-preserved example of traditional Shan or Burmese metalwork used in the regional opium trade.
